A couple of early Christmas presents have arrived, I spent the morning fitting them. The first was a box of 30mm wheel spacers.
I decided that since there would be quite a bit of weight on the roof with the pop top, that it was sensible to go a little wider to hopefully reduce the centre of gravity. The billet aluminium spacers give 60mm per axle which should help with stability.
Shiny blue!
Before…
And after.
Before.
After.
Package two was a set of wind deflectors. The reason being that when at camp, the windows can be left open for ventilation, but won’t let rain in. Not that I’m planning on camping in the rain, but you never know!
These are opaque black visors which I think match the truck nicely.
Cool little detailing.
Fitting was straight forward, clean the door frame with white spirit and they’re simply stuck into place instead of clipped in. Time will tell how durable they are.
Not too intrusive either.
And thats it! Looking much better if I do say so.
